Erdington – Let’s Get Together!
Join us for a FREE community event with the Erdington Neighbourhood Network Scheme (ENNS) at St Barnabas Church on 10th April 2025 from 11am – 2pm. This exciting event will connect residents with local services and groups, offering a fantastic opportunity to explore activities, advice, and initiatives across Erdington that tackle isolation and improve wellbeing.
ENNS Co-ordinator Fauzia Begum said, “Following last year’s success, we’re thrilled to welcome our community on 10th April to connect with local resources. Erdington is buzzing with opportunities and we’re excited to support residents in accessing help to enhance their lives!” (Full quote below)
Our ENNS team will also be on hand to discuss grants for community projects and explain how we support older adults and younger adults with disabilities through voluntary group partnerships.

Community Voice Highlights Resident-Led Change
Witton Lodge Community Association recently premiered an inspiring film showcasing the Community Voice initiative, which aims to empower residents across the Erdington Constituency to shape their local services and community.
The video features passionate Community Voice members sharing their experiences and motivations for getting involved and aims to inspire more residents to join Community Voice and contribute to shaping the future of services in the Erdington Constituency.

Special Visits to Witton Lodge: Celebrating Community Impact
The team at Witton Lodge recently welcomed prominent guests, Cllr Mariam Khan, Cabinet Member for Health and Social Care; Jo Tonkin, Interim Director of Public Health (Birmingham City Council) and Joanne Roney, the newly appointed Managing Director of BCC.
Cllr Khan and Jo Tonkin toured our three key hubs, Perry Common Community Hall, Sycamore Court and Witton Lakes Eco Hub, gaining first-hand insight into our diverse services. Joanne Roney also visited Witton Lakes Eco Hub to discuss our essential community support. Our guests were all impressed by WLCA’s role as a community anchor and the services we offer across Erdington.
