Job title: EMPLOYMENT COACH                         

Salary band: £21,000-24,000

Hours: 37hrs per week

Location: Perry Common, Birmingham

Accountable to: Employability Manager

Post term: Fixed Term until March 2023 – extension subject to funding

Ignite Aspirations is an ambitious employment support programme across North & East Birmingham that seeks to provide intense, tailored support to help individuals unlock talents, develop skills and overcome barriers to employment. With a proactive work-first approach, you will support unemployed and inactive people into employment. Results focused, you will use a mix of holistic support, challenge and mentoring techniques to support individuals through their entire journey into employment, keeping a focus on achieving sustainable employment at all times. Job title: ENTERPRISE & BUSINESS CO-ORDINATOR

Salary band: £26,000-£28,000

Hours: 37hrs per week

Location: Perry Common, Birmingham

Accountable to: Flourishing Community Services Manager

Post term: Fixed term until October 2023

World of Work, Wellbeing and Enterprise Development (WOW2ED) is an exciting programme in partnership with i-SE to support individuals to develop their skills and knowledge to start their own business or explore self-employment options; complete training and development; and improve wellbeing, helping unemployed residents enter sustainable employment. As Enterprise & Business Co-ordinator, you will provide and coordinate specialist information, support, coaching, advice and guidance to help individuals looking to start their own business, through to supporting established businesses to grow, scale up, change or diversify their business models. Job Title: HEALTH & WELLBEING OFFICER     

Salary Band: £21,000 – £24,000

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Perry Common, Birmingham

Accountable to: Health & Wellbeing Development Manager

Post Term: Fixed Term until March 2023 – extension subject to funding

 

Using community-led approaches, you will develop initiatives that keep residents healthy and independent in the place they live, reducing statutory intervention and/or acute care needs, and enabling individuals to build the capabilities and confidence to lead, coproduce services and contribute more, in North Birmingham. Working with residents, community organisations and Health & Social Care providers, we change attitudes and behaviors; using approaches and tools such as social prescription, neighbourhood networking and health creation; that over time lead to a step change in crucial areas such as falls prevention, exercise, mobility, reducing social isolation, bereavement and mental ill-health. Job title: PROJECTS ASSISTANT                                                                                                  

Salary band: £18,500 per annum

Hours: 37 per week

Location: Perry Common, Birmingham

Accountable to: Flourishing Communities Services Manager

Post term: Fixed Term until October 2023

The Flourishing Community Services team deliver a wide range of services and projects across North Birmingham that enhance the lives of residents, provide tailored support to help individuals unlock talents, overcome barriers and achieve their goals & aspirations. This post will support the teams, administration, contacting clients, keeping records up to date, taking notes, collating information, assisting reporting, and supporting activities and initiatives across the team. This post will focus particularly on two employability projects, WOW2ED (funded by the European Social Fund) and Stand Out (funded by the National Lottery Community Fund), which aim to support residents to develop skills and confidence to enter employment, self-employment or education. Volunteer With Us

Do you want to be part of an exhilarating experience?  Getting involved in new projects, learning new skills and helping your local community at the same time?  Whether you are looking to boost your skills or simply want to get out of the house and meet new people, then we have a volunteering opportunity that suits you.

You could be working in our busy office here at Perry Common Community Hall;  helping our residents at our Sycamore Court Extra Care Scheme; helping to organise one of our many community events; assisting the Homes and Properties Team; working on our busy reception desk; computer work; distributing our publicity – or anything else you can think of.

We are a friendly and welcoming team and genuinely appreciate the help of our volunteers.  What’s more, all your volunteering will directly benefit the local community here in Perry Common and far beyond.

 

 

Befrienders

We are looking to recruit volunteers who are interested in providing support to people suffering loneliness and/or emotional distress across North Birmingham – with a focus on Erdington, Kingstanding, Perry Barr and Great Barr (click on link below)
