North Birmingham Economic Recovery Co-ordinator

Salary; £28000-£32,000. 37 hours per week up; to 2 years (min 12 months)

The North Birmingham Economic Recovery Taskforce is a multi-agency partnership co-ordinating the response to the economic shock resulting from COVID19. The Taskforce is seeking to appoint an experienced individual to lead the implementation of its ambitious Economic Recovery Plan.

We are looking for a proactive individual with a successful track record of delivering employability, inclusive growth or economic development related initiatives. A confident performer, you will have worked in partnership with stakeholders from across the public, private and voluntary sectors to support significant numbers of local residents into work on major employment initiatives and sites.

Volunteer With Us

Do you want to be part of an exhilarating experience?  Getting involved in new projects, learning new skills and helping your local community at the same time?  Whether you are looking to boost your skills or simply want to get out of the house and meet new people, then we have a volunteering opportunity that suits you.

You could be working in our busy office here at Perry Common Community Hall;  helping our residents at our Sycamore Court Extra Care Scheme; helping to organise one of our many community events; assisting the Homes and Properties Team; working on our busy reception desk; computer work; distributing our publicity – or anything else you can think of.

We are a friendly and welcoming team and genuinely appreciate the help of our volunteers.  What’s more, all your volunteering will directly benefit the local community here in Perry Common and far beyond.

We are looking to recruit volunteers who are interested in providing support to people suffering loneliness and/or emotional distress across North Birmingham – with a focus on Erdington, Kingstanding, Perry Barr and Great Barr (click on link below)
