Christmas came early for Story Wood School pupil Nevaeh Golding on Friday.

A design submitted by the creative 10-year-old has been chosen to be the front image of Witton Lodge Community Association’s official 2018 Christmas card.

Following a performance alongside her classmates at The Net Pentecostal Church on Witton Lodge Road in Perry Common on Friday – held as part of the A Perry Common Christmas event – Nevaeh was presented with a copy of the card and a surprise gift in recognition of her efforts and achievement.

Communications Officer at Witton Lodge, Steve Sharma, made the presentation.
“We asked pupils at Story Wood School to come up with a design for the front of our Christmas card,” he said.
“They all did really well so picking an overall winner was a difficult decision. But Nevaeh’s design perfectly captures the spirit of Christmas with its simplicity and purity.”
