The latest Let’s Get Together event organised by the Erdington Neighbourhood Network Scheme (ENNS) was a spectacular success with more than 200 local residents attending to connect with ENNS funded health and wellbeing groups and partners.

From 11am to 2pm yesterday, Thursday, St Barnabas Church was transformed into a vibrant hub of community engagement as people explored a range of opportunities to boost their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

With 25 locally based groups and organisations in the room to showcase their services, the venue became a powerhouse of resources under one roof.

Impressive

Waheed Saleem, Head of Programmes and Partnerships, said “I’m really pleased that once again the ENNS team have organised a successful event, bringing together ENNS funded projects, professionals and partner organisations to connect with local residents.

We received positive feedback from organisations, professionals and residents who found the event informative. ‘Lets Get Together’ is part of the wider work Witton Lodge Community Association is leading on to engage with residents and local community organisations.

ENNS Co-ordinator Fauzia Begum said: “Let’s Get Together is all about breaking down barriers and building bridges. The gathering brought together a diverse mix of local leaders, professionals, and community groups, all united by a shared commitment to strengthening neighbourhood connections.

Engagement

“Residents had the opportunity to have meaningful conversations and connected with organisations which can help them in their daily lives.

The atmosphere throughout the event was uplifting, warm, and genuinely welcoming.

Attendees spoke about the sense of unity in the room and the importance of creating spaces where people from all backgrounds can come together.

It was a very successful collaborative effort and I would like to thank everyone who took part and everyone who attended.”

Collaboration

Witton Lodge Community Association, Birmingham Mind, Birmingham Voluntary Services Council (BVSC), Erdington Litter Busters, Friends of Witton Lakes (FOWL) were in the room alongside many others who work tirelessly to champion wellbeing in Erdington Constituency.
