The July issue of Erdington Local is out now!

Kickstarting the Exciting Transformation of Historic Erdington Baths

This month we shed light on the beginning of the journey to transform Erdington’s former swimming baths. The Historic building will be turned into a vibrant community hub, welcoming entrepreneurs and residents from across Erdington and offering workspaces for the community to use.

We kicked off the ‘first wave’ stage of the development by clearing the external areas, making wat for a colourful pocket park which will transform the front of the baths. Afzal Hussain, Chief Officer at Witton Lodge Community Association, expressed his enthusiasm for the project stating, “We are hopeful that this new community hub will catalyze economic growth in Erdington and importantly, make residents proud.”

The initial work has already sparked positive feedback from passing residents, with many happy to see the site receiving much-needed love and attention. If you would like to be kept up to date on the progress of this project, email the team at enquiries@wittonlodge.org.uk to register your interest.
