Living Well Team Boost Provision
The Living Well team at Witton Lodge Community Association has enjoyed a very successful and productive start to 2019.
This week alone has seen more than 15 people referred to Witton Lodge’ to access the team’s programme of health and wellbeing support.
Meanwhile attendance to drop-in sessions being delivered at Erdington Library on Monday afternoons to help combat stress and anxiety has rocketed.
Led by Health and Wellbeing Officers, Fauzia Begum and Rebecca Craddock and assisted by volunteer Andrea Malcolm, provision continues to grow.
“The Health and Wellbeing sessions at Erdington Library continues to pick up really well which is credit to the team who all work really hard to achieve this level of success,” said Fauzia.
“Rebecca also visited the Cameo Club at the Methodist Church in Erdington where we picked up 10 new referrals in one morning.”
Youth Employment Ambassador at Witton Lodge Community Association, Haleema Khathoon, said the success of the Living Well team reflects the organisation’s proactive approach to community engagement.
“We have also referred clients to health and wellbeing for support and for the volunteering opportunities the team have,” she said.
“It is working really well and with upcoming joint workshops that we’ve put together, I’ve no doubt the success will continue. Giving our clients a full and integrated service gives them the confidence they need as well as boosting the staff who deliver provision.”
Monday’s drop-in sessions at Erdington Library – which include guest speakers and workshops – take place from 2-4pm. All are welcome to attend. For more information call Fauzia or Rebecca on 0121 382 1930.
