Ladders of Opportunity: Celebrating Success and Announcing New Opportunities
We recently we had the pleasure of welcoming the first round of successful applicants of the Ladders of Opportunity Bursary to a special event to celebrate their amazing achievement.
From nursing aspirations to sixth form studies to dreams of becoming an electrical engineer, our successful applicants represent a wide range of career goals, and each recipient was awarded £1,000 to support their educational journey.
Jo Townsend Communications & Marketing Co-ordinator at WLCA said “It’s inspiring to see these three exceptional young people taking their first steps towards their dreams, and we’re proud to play a part in their success stories.”
This fund is in memory of Erdington MP Jack Dromey and Stockland Green Councillor Penny Holbrook, and we were honoured to have family and friends of Penny and Jack join us for this wonderful occasion, witnessing firsthand the positive impact of their legacy.
Congratulations to Sylvia, Bryan and Salah on being awarded the very first funding from The Ladders of Opportunity Bursary. The panel from Witton Lodge Community Association, IM Properties, Pioneer Group, BMet and Urban Devotion were delighted to meet the successful trio and look forward to building connections with them through mentorship and career guidance.
