Last week marked a bittersweet moment for our community as we bid a heartfelt farewell to our beloved local butcher, Jim Duffell as he embarked on his well-deserved retirement after an incredible 51 years of service in the area.

Located on Witton Lodge Road, Perry Common, Jim has been at the helm of Jim Duffell Family Butchers for 26 remarkable years. Jim’s butcher’s has been more than just a local shop, it’s been a cornerstone of our community, a gathering spot where stories were shared, and friendships were forged. Jim’s commitment to his craft was unparalleled; he was a traditional butcher in every sense and never took a week off in over two decades of service.

Joined by family, friends & customers we held a lovely gathering at Perry Common Community Hall to  share stories and memories and wish Jim all the best in this exciting new chapter.  Good luck Jim, you’ll be missed!
