Working alongside key partners, Witton Lodge Community Association is leading the way in tackling health inequalities across the North Locality which covers the Erdington and Sutton Coldfield Constituencies.

With a budget of nearly £900k allocated, WLCA is spearheading this important initiative to redress the balance of health across the North Locality to develop a comprehensive plan in collaboration with community groups, health providers, and citizens. This inclusive approach aims to identify key priorities around the issue of health inequality and develop sustainable actions necessary to help improve health outcomes in the region.

At its core, the initiative aims to redress the balance of healthcare access and outcomes, recognizing the disparities that exist within our communities. By targeting key areas of concern and leveraging the expertise of a diverse network of stakeholders, we are hopeful that the outcome of this work will be a force for positive change.

This initiative shows collaboration at its best with a diverse range of groups, healthcare specialists and local residents joining forces to understand the intricacies of local challenges and help amplify the voices of those directly affected by health inequalities. By staying connected with the community and remaining responsive to their needs, we aim to deliver on our ethos of a healthier, more equitable future for all.

Alongside the series of events we are holding to push this initiative forward, we are actively inviting citizens from across Erdington and Sutton Coldfield to share their feedback on the health inequalities they face by completing our survey. Your voice matters and is an important piece of the puzzle to help us prioritise the barriers you face to leading healthier lifestyles. Please give your feedback by completing the survey here.
