Local woman Angela first approached Witton Lodge’ for some support to improve her digital skills and boost her confidence looking for work.

After completing a number of courses she engaged in some work experience.

Feeling more assured and positive about the future, Angela returned to us, under the wing of Employability and Skills Tutor, Laura Stacey.

“After completing further digital skills training with me, she has developed a good practical knowledge and capability around computers,” said Laura.

“As a result Angela enrolled onto the accredited Essential Digital Skills course I delivered. She worked hard and persevered and managed to get a well deserved pass. She has now been awarded a certificate of achievement which is positive proof of her new and improved knowledge of digital skills.

“She has been a good example of the Witton Lodge Learner and the journey she has taken has kept her going up the ladder of progression.”

Angela commented: “The staff at Witton Lodge have really helped me, especially Laura.

“I feel more confident now and the skills I have learned are helping me in my everyday life.

“The classes were really interesting and Laura made me feel so relaxed which was a big help.”
