Active Communities is inviting you to take part in a one-hour video call to discuss face to face outdoor activity and how we are all slowly getting back to the ‘new normal’ in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The first session takes place this afternoon (Friday September 4th) from 4-5pm and targets Resident Groups, individuals and community organisations who have restarted face-face delivery activities.

Branded The Big Chat, participants can join local residents and community groups from across Birmingham and Solihull to discuss the most appropriate ways to deliver physical activities in our parks, streets and public places.

You can join The Big Chat to:

  • Compare notes with other community groups that are running activities;
  • Get briefed on meeting NHS ‘test and trace requirements’
  • Deal with the data you are obliged to collect and the ways to sustain delivery in the event of a local lockdown

How to be a part of the Big Chat!

If you would like to take part in this event you will need to email Ella-May Patey-Round at: ella-may.patey-round@theaws.org with:

  • Your name
  • E-mail and telephone number
  • Your organisation (if you are part of one)

The session will be delivered on digital platform Zoom, which is a live video platform stream and very easy to use.  Once you have signed up, Ella will send you an invite via e-mail to the Zoom conference call which you will need to click on to access the meeting.

You won’t need to download any software or an app to take part in the Zoom conference which can be accessed on any device, including an Android or Apple phone.

Note: the call will end at 5pm, but after the event there will be some informal time when you can follow-up with other people and make useful links.
