Employment Engagement Lead
Witton Lodge Community Association is looking for an experienced Employment Engagement Lead to support our Connect to Work programme. You will work with partners across North & East Birmingham to build strong employer relationships and create real opportunities for programme participants. This is a dynamic, community-based role for someone who is a confident relationship-builder combining commercial awareness with a strong commitment to inclusive employment.
The Role
You will secure vacancies, placements, work experience and sector pathways, help partners match participants to suitable opportunities and support employers to recruit inclusively. You will also work with employers and community partners to identify people already in work who meet the programme criteria and could benefit from support to retain, improve or progress in their employment.
You’ll have strong experience of employer engagement, recruitment, business development or employment support, a track record of developing vacancies, placements or progression opportunities and good knowledge of employer needs, local labour markets and the barriers people can face in work. You will also have the ability to coordinate activity across partners and turn relationships into measurable outcomes, alongside strong communication, networking, organisation and record-keeping skills.
WHY JOIN US?
You’ll join a values-led, community-rooted organisation and a collaborative team focused on creating real, lasting opportunities for local young people.
