We are recruiting to a number of Employment and Skills Advisor roles to help local people move into
employment, education, and training. These are practical, people-focused roles for advisers who can
build trust, maintain momentum, and turn aspirations into achievable next steps.

Working from community venues and Jobcentre’s across Erdington, Sutton Coldfield & Perry Barr,
you will support young people, unemployed and economically inactive residents, and others facing
barriers to progression. You will stay with participants from first engagement through to a positive
and sustained outcome.

The Role

• Recruit and manage an active caseload, completing assessments and action plans based on each
participant’s strengths, aspirations, and barriers.
• Provide one-to-one coaching and group support covering confidence, job search, CVs,
applications, interviews, digital skills, and workplace expectations.
• Connect people to training, qualifications, volunteering, work experience, and specialist support
that improves their prospects.
• Build relationships with employers and support matching, applications, interviews, job starts and
in-work retention.
• Work with Jobcentre Plus, education, health and community partners, maintain audit-ready
records and achieve agreed outcome targets.

HOURS & SALARY

£27,000 – £34,000 per annum

Fixed Term until March 2028 (potential to extend) – 37 hours per week
