In The News: Witton Lodge in The Erdington Local
The new March/April edition of the Erdington Local is now on shelves across the constituency and features the latest news and information from Witton Lodge Community Association.
As well as updates on some of our latest projects and activities there is a spotlight feature on our wonderful Homes and Assets Team; as we go behind the scenes to see how they support our tenants, local residents and the Erdington community.
Guitar Classes at Witton Lakes Eco Hub
Witton Lakes Eco Hub is now hosting free weekly Guitar Sessions which are open to people of all abilities.
Launched in January following consultation with the local community, classes are delivered by Trevor Lote, a member of popular Birmingham band The Dave Mack 5.
Classes take place from 2-3pm every Monday and the feedback so far has been very positive. Attendance has been steadily increasing with participants currently developing core skills including:
- Tuning a guitar correctly
- Learning and practicing basic chords
- Understanding rhythm and timing
- Working collaboratively towards playing a song
Donation to The Erdington Neighbourhood Network Scheme
Care UK has donated £500 to the Erdington Neighbourhood Network Scheme (ENNS). The company made the donation to celebrate the opening of its new Elderflower Grange Care Home on Orphanage Road, Erdington.
Jag Singh, Home Manager at Elderflower Grange, said: “The ENNS does fantastic work for our community and its mission aligns perfectly with ours.”
