Bull-tastic Arts Trail Comes to an End
The Bulls in the City Arts Trail reaches its conclusion this weekend and what an incredible journey of community engagement it’s been!
Over the past few months’ the trail has captured the imagination of thousands of residents, families and visitors from across Birmingham and beyond.
Coordinated by Wild in Art, the trail featured 128 uniquely designed bulls, each celebrating Birmingham’s creativity and community spirit while raising vital funds for Birmingham Hospice. The curtain comes down on the trail this Sunday, September 14.
Tens of thousands of trail-goers embraced the experience by using the special Bulls in the City rewards app to scan QR codes, unlock prizes and explore new parts of the city.
Wonderful Memories
Witton Lodge was especially proud to be able to showcase its very own sculptures, Work Hard Play Hard and Rebull – created by the incredibly talented husband and wife team of Kieron and Lynsey at Reilly Creative – at Boldmere and Millennium Point respectively. Watch their video interview HERE.
The pair were scanned more than 1,600 times with people visiting them to create moments of joy and connection.
Community Engagement Manager at Witton Lodge Community Association, Jo Townsend, said: “The response from the community has been simply overwhelming.
“We’ve absolutely loved hearing people’s stories, seeing their photos and watching families come together to take part in such a fantastic event.
“A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on this unforgettable journey. Together, you made the trail a true celebration of art, community and pride.”
