This August, the Eco Hub is buzzing with activities for everyone as Active August returns!

Whether you’re looking to get creative, spend quality time with the family, or grow your green fingers, there’s something for you! Each week brings different activities like hands-on arts and crafts (just £2 per child, under 3s free), tasty family meals with Bangers n Mashup, and fun, practical gardening sessions where you can learn about growing your own fruit, veg, and herbs, or discover the secrets of houseplants and succulents.

For the little ones (and the young at heart), we’ve got outdoor games, scavenger hunts, and even a duckling watch with the Friends of Witton Lakes. There’s also the chance to pick up new skills, from painting and DIY fixes to building your own planters. No matter your age or experience, we want everyone to feel welcome; come along, try something new, and make lasting memories with your neighbours and friends.

We believe that community is at the heart of everything we do, and Active August is all about bringing people together for fun, learning, and wellbeing.
