Spring into Summer Festival: Sunshine, Smiles, and Memories!
With radiant smiles and laughter all around, families soaked up every moment of our Spring into Summer festival under glorious blue skies on Saturday 14th June!
The Ring on Witton Lodge Road came alive with the sights and sounds of the popular annual festival as hundreds of people came out to enjoy a range of activities.
The super slide and bouncy castle drew the interest of daring children, some adults too, and aspiring Harry Kane’s and Leah Willamson’s got to show off their skills in Urban Devotion’s football cage.
With plenty of fun games and activities for all ages, plus delicious ice-cream and tasty refreshments, the day was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together and enjoy some community spirit.
Alongside the exciting activities, local business owners proudly showcased their wonderful products, including handmade gifts, woodwork and glitter tattoos, adding a vibrant marketplace feel to the event.
Witton Lodge were delighted to launch our Bulls in the City stall, ahead of our super cool Bull and Calf
going live on the city-wide trail this Summer. Young guests were invited to get creative by colouring in their very own bull and designing a mask, inspired by our Bulls in the City sculptures. It was fantastic to see so many imaginative designs and eager young artists getting involved!
Flourishing Communities Coordinator at Witton Lodge, Paul Tse, said: “We were thrilled with the turnout this year. It was wonderful to see so many people from the community coming together and enjoying the wide range of activities on offer.
“There was also a lot of interest in the groups who were there selling handmade items, which was fantastic to witness. It really highlighted the community’s support for local enterprise and creativity and we’re looking forward to growing our stall numbers at future events.”
The Spring into Summer Festival brought everyone together and was a wonderful reminder of the warmth, kindness, and strong spirit that make Perry Common such a special place to live.
