The Active Wellbeing Society have been promoting a bike giveaway for specific wards in the West Midlands including Stockland Green in Erdington.

People who are interested in taking advantage of this offer should get down to Witton Lakes Eco Hub, off Faulkners Farm Drive, B23 7XX on Friday, November 11th from 10am to 12-noon.

As well as living in Stockland Green, applicants must have a household income of less than £30,000/year, not have access to the cycle to work scheme, be able to ride a bike and commit to do any training required to reach level 2 (which is riding on quiet, residential type roads).

Free training is available through the Cycling for Everyone programme.

There are adult bikes and adapted bikes/trikes available in this giveaway, but there are no children’s bikes.

Bikes will come with a lock, lights and mini hand pump.
