Jobs Fair a Great Success
Members of the Witton Lodge’ Employment and Skills team attended the Erdington Jobs Fair to support local jobseekers into work.
Yesterday’s event at St Barnabas Church drew a crowd of more than 250 people with a wide range of city based employers and training providers joining our staff.
Running from 10am to 1pm, the Fair was an opportunity for people to register for practical and vocational support, to assist their journey into work.
Melissa Gayle, Employability Coordinator for Witton Lodge, was among those on duty.
“With more than 24 employers and work training providers such as AM 2 PM, Care Through the Millennium, NHS HUB, Embark Learning and RMF, the Jobs Fair was a great success,” she said.
“Witton Lodge engaged with over 30 people and will continue to assist them to find work in the future.
“Both Erdington Job Centre Plus and our team did an outstanding job in organising the event. All attendees showed enthusiasm and interest in the opportunities available.
“I’d like to say a big thank you to my colleagues Marcia (Lewis) for engaging and inviting employers, to ensure its success and Dellano (Lewis) for supporting the team with client engagement. Many clients will benefit from this event and we are already looking forward to the next one.”
