Despite heavy rain, people braved the weather and came to Perry Common Meadows, for lots of fun and ice cream.

The Perry Common Health Games was organised by Witton Lodge Community Association, assisted by wonderful volunteers from the Friends of Witton Lakes and supported by local organisations including Urban Devotion Birmingham and The Active Wellbeing Society.

Activities on the day included: bike rides, stalls, face painting, an exotic animal club which included tarantulas and, when the rain finally eased, the bouncy castles proved to be great fun. Feedback from those attending has been really positive, and it looked as if everyone had a great time.

Linda Hines, Chair of Witton Lodge Community Association, stated “I was really pleased that, despite the weather, we had a really good day and I’m looking forward to our next event “Wyrley Commonwealth Festival” at Witton Lakes on Saturday 16th July.”.
