Thanks and Good Luck Our Liz
University student Elizabeth Scott has completed her work placement with Witton Lodge Community Association – and left us a ringing endorsement!!
Elizabeth, from Sutton Coldfield, came to us in March as part of her adult social work studies.
Supporting the Health and Wellbeing team, her help was invaluable in delivering provision to older residents across the community as well as residents at Sycamore Court, our independent living scheme. She even established a new coffee morning activity at the facility, which will continue throughout the summer.
A celebration lunch was held for Elizabeth to thank her for all her hard work. While sad to leave us, she did say it was an experience that will stand her in good stead for the future.
“I have enjoyed a range of learning opportunities and a variety of experiences to learn, develop and evolve from,” she said.
“Colleagues were great. Nothing was ever too much trouble and I felt supported throughout. I feel very privileged to have seen the work Witton Lodge Community Association does within the local community and the experience will be a great resource for me to utilise moving forward in my career.
“The whole team were very welcoming and allowed the space for me to ask lots of questions, also providing shadowing opportunities. It has been a pleasure to be part of the Witton Lodge family. Thank you everyone.”
