Health and Social Care Jobs Fair a Success
Employers from across North Birmingham were at Perry Common Community Hall this morning to deliver a Health and Social Care jobs fair.
Representatives from Anchor Care Homes, South & City College, University Hospital Birmingham Foundation Trust, Helping Hands, Care Through The Millennium, Pleasant Valley Care, Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, Birmingham Adult Education Services and The Ridings Care Home were engaging with local job seekers showcasing opportunities and live vacancies.
Dozens of people visited the event to get an insight into what it takes to work in the health and social care sector and the training and qualifications needed to pursue a successful career in the industry.
Jobeda Shahed, Co-ordinator for the North Birmingham Economic Recovery Task Force, said: “It was brilliant to be part of such a buzzing atmosphere at today’s jobs fair.
“We had employers engaging face-to-face with clients discussing live job vacancies and the various routes people can take into into Health and Social Care. It was all very positive. We’re already looking forward to the next one.”
