Take the City Nature Challenge at Witton Lakes
Calling all local nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts, later this month we’re inviting you to step outside and explore beautiful Witton Lakes as part of the exciting annual City Nature Challenge 2026.
On Friday April 24th we are delighted to host a FREE workshop at Witton Lakes Eco Hub for you to put your photography skills to good use and snap some of the park’s wildlife, whether it’s plants, animals or insects.
Wildlife waiting
Whether you take the challenge alone or as a group, this is an opportunity to explore all the amazing wildlife that’s flourishing right on your doorstep.
Our team will guide you through:
- How to take part in the city nature challenge
- Tips for spotting wildlife
- A relaxed walk through the breathtaking Witton Lakes
Not only does this challenge get you up close and personal with nature, it allows you to meet other wildlife enthusiasts and people who share your passion for the outdoors.
Sharing is caring
The City Nature Challenge allows you to share your images with people from all over the UK via the iNaturalist. Photos, giving others the chance to enjoy the natural world around Witton Lakes.
Anyone can take part in the workshop so whether you’re an expert or a novice photographer, if you love nature and wildlife, pop down to Witton Lakes Eco Hub and get snapping!
The event runs from 10.30am to 1.30pm. For more details please call the Eco Hub on 0121 227 3200.
