North Birmingham Economic Recovery (NB:ER) Board
This initiative builds upon the ongoing efforts of Witton Lodge Community Association which is actively involved in the North Birmingham Economic Recovery (NB:ER) Board, a collaborative initiative designed to revitalise the local economy by addressing the challenges posed by unemployment and skills gaps in the region, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Under the leadership of Erdington MP, Paulette Hamilton, the NB:ER is composed of key stakeholders including employers, training providers, community organisations and public agencies all with a shared vision to create jobs and enhance training opportunities tailored to the needs of our communities. We were delighted to welcome Richard Parker, Mayor of the West Midlands, to our recent Board meeting at Perry Common Community Hall to hear his priorities and share our plans for North Birmingham.
