Witton Lodge Community Association is working as an intermediary with the Clarion Housing Group, the UK’s largest provider of affordable housing, to support the Kickstart Scheme.

Under the scheme organisations in this housing partnership have secured funding from the Government to create new job placements for 16-24-year-olds.

More than 800 six-month placements will be created across England and Wales with Government funding subsidising pay for up to 25 hour per week, at minimum wage.

Witton Lodge has created three new Project Assistant placement opportunities for young people to help them build their skills in the workplace, gain invaluable experience and improve their chances of finding long-term employment.

The successful individuals will receive in-work support and training, assigned a mentor to develop basic work related skills and have access wider future employment opportunities.

Their main duties will be to support the Business Development Manager with all administrative duties including arranging meetings, taking meeting minutes, creating an online filing system and sharing information with stakeholders. They will also be required to support business development initiatives, projects performance and carrying out any other associated tasks.

One of the three roles has now been filled but there remains two vacancies.

To apply for one of the Kickstart roles at Witton Lodge you need to be aged 16-24 and in receipt of Universal Credit.
