Local jobseekers are urged to take advantage of new employment opportunities with Birmingham Metropolitan College.
Apprenticeships in Customer Service roles are now being offered to anyone aged 19 and over living in the West Midlands.
There are a total of seven Key Account Advisor vacancies with Curdworth based XDP Limited, the largest private parcel carrier in the UK. The company operates with a franchise network of more than 60 depots across the country and has developed a reputation for outstanding customer focused logistics.
A total of 20 candidates will study 13 units for the Highfield Level 1 Diploma in Work Related Studies for the Customer Service Sector. Topics include teamwork, equality and diversity and resolving complaints.
This qualification provides learners with an introduction to the customer service environment and provides support in preparation for a role within a workplace. The content of the qualification is designed to enable learners to achieve a variety of skills that can be used in a customer service environment.
In addition, a Level 2 Customer Service apprenticeship provides for 18 months of vocational training of 37 hours a week, paying £5.30 an hour. Key learning components include generating reports for management and resolving communication enquiries.
Eligible customers should be unemployed and in receipt of either:
- Universal Credit
- Job Seekers’ Allowance
- Employment & Support Allowance
Candidates must also be aged 19 or over and have lived in the UK for the last three years.
