We are actively seeking passionate & experienced individuals or organisations to work with us across a range of innovative projects that meet local community needs and nurture talent.
Established in 1994, Witton Lodge Community Association is a community landlord and a dynamic social enterprise that focuses on ‘people and place’. The Association has overseen the redevelopment of the Perry Common estate in north Birmingham, with over 900 new family homes, complemented by new parks, health, education, and community facilities.
The Association has made an even greater impact on people’s lives through our Flourishing Communities initiative, most recently mobilising local partners to help our community through the pandemic. We continue to support hundreds of residents including young people to gain new skills and employment; pioneer innovative social prescription approaches which support older residents to live independently and with dignity; develop environmental initiatives that tackle fuel poverty and are good for our planet; and bring local people together to celebrate community life.
The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced individuals and organisations who are equally passionate about meeting local community needs and nurturing talent, especially in relation to our priority themes. Our priority themes include Health and Wellbeing; Economy, Employment and Skills; Housing and Environment; Community Capacity Building.
Ideally you will have experience in one or more of the following:
- Project Initiation, Delivery, Management and Reporting
- Fundraising including Bid Writing, Tender Submissions and Grant Applications
- Implementing Quality Management Systems inc. ISO, IIP, Ofsted
- Delivering advice services in the community

Developing and providing support for Social Enterprises including business planning, managing finances, marketing, etc
- Community Capacity Building inc. Governance training; establishing Local Forums such as Citizen Panels
- Specialise architect and design experience working with community organisations
- Undertaking ICT audits for community organisations
- Developing skills provision for adults including curriculum development, registration with awarding bodies, OFSTED inspections and recording/ monitoring systems.

Develop course content for an Eco Day for employers, including supporting knowledge transfer to staff
