Awards Recognition a Real Achievement

For the second time in three years Witton Lodge Community Association stood shoulder to shoulder with some of the city’s elite organisations during a prestigious awards ceremony.

We were once again shortlisted as a finalist in the Birmingham Post Business Awards 2021, competing in the ‘ Third Sector Organisation of the Year’ category.

Having achieved the runners-up spot in the same category in 2019, we were delighted to again be rubbing shoulders with many of Birmingham’s best established businesses with Forward Carers CIC and Midlands Air Ambulance Charity nominated alongside us.

Due to the current Covid restrictions, this year’s ceremony took place online, and was hosted by TV weathergirl Emma Jesson.

And it was a case of history repeating itself as we once more filled second spot behind Forward Carers CIC.

Chair at Witton Lodge Community Association, Linda Hines MBE, said: “I know it’s a cliche that’s often used but just being shortlisted as a finalist is a fantastic achievement. For a relatively small organisation like ours to be keeping such illustrious company is an achievement all our staff can be rightly proud of.”
