Suicide First Aid Training Offered
Birmingham Education Partnership is offering funded places to community partners to attend Suicide First Aid training (SFA).
SFA Lite is a virtual training programme delivered in two parts over three hours with each part lasting 90 minutes. The course provides the knowledge and tools needed to understand that suicide is one of the most preventable deaths.
Part 1 looks at stigma and survivors, suicide thoughts and behaviour. Part 2 looks at recognising and asking about suicide,
The training is a city and guilds qualification programme aimed at multi-sector managers and practitioners including those working in health, housing, social care, education and criminal justice. It is also for people working in call centres and with community groups across the private, voluntary and public sectors
