Mayor of the West Midlands, Andy Street, visited us yesterday to experience some of the support services we have been delivering to the community since the COVID19 lockdown began.

Accompanied by Birmingham City Councillors Robert Alden and Gareth Moore, Mr Street met with volunteers who explained how food collections and deliveries have been helping the elderly and vulnerable across North Birmingham.

He also spoke to staff about the wide range of online support sessions being delivered by Witton Lodge to help people cope with the symptoms and impact of isolation.

During his visit The Mayor also helped to pack some food parcels and took part in an online quiz being held to connect local residents. He was also treated to a viewing of the Erdington COVID19 Taskforce music video ‘We’ll Be There For You.’
