St Chad’s Church Centre threw open its doors to spread early festive cheer.

In a bid to encourage older residents to meet new people and make new friends the centre on Stoneyhurst Road held a Christmas meal two weeks before the big day itself.

Co-ordinated and funded through the Erdington Neighbourhood Network Scheme (ENNS), the event saw more than 25 people tuck into fine food, enjoy a party atmosphere and good company. Entertainment was provided by a Bag Piper.

ENNS has been established to help provide activities and support services which benefit the health and wellbeing of older people living in Erdington.
