Witton Lodge Community Association has received an £800 boost courtesy of IM Properties.

The generous donation was made following a launch event for the property management company’s much heralded Peddimore project. The scheme is set to create up to 10,000 jobs and contribute upwards of £350 million towards the local economy.

Planning Director, David Smith, said: “IM Properties used this launch event to take the opportunity to promote their four social value partners for the scheme, which include Witton Lodge and highlight the vital work these partners do to support the local community that surround the Peddimore site.”

Afzal Hussain, Chief Officer for Witton Lodge,’ said: “This donation is a magnificent gesture from patrons of the Peddimore scheme and we are very grateful for their generosity and support.

“These funds will support the development of our exciting new Eco Hub at Witton Lakes. This project will transform a former Park Keeper’s cottage into a community facility that will showcase renewable energy, help tackle fuel poverty and create a new café and meeting place.”

Once completed, the (Peddimore project) collaboration between IM Properties and Birmingham City Council will create a world class employment park designed to retain and attract local, regional, national and international occupiers.
